Pokerstars has Improved Card Shuffling
Poker Stars, an online poker game room, launched its beta testing on September 12, 2001 for play money.
Initially around 2003, it was noticed that on an average every 3rd hand happened to be a four card straight, and mostly, with the 4 card straight, the board used to pair up and it was not uncommon for the board to be a flush. People used to wonder if with all these premium hands, if Poker stars were doing it purposefully to increase their rake and make more money. The number of times this happened was statistically impossible.
It merely makes logic that a lot of such crazy things used to happen when a lot of hands are being played out at an increasing jet speed. Weak starters caught their miracles to win unexpected hands at Poker Stars.
Such concerns were raised to Poker Stars and they managed to improve on the shuffling with advanced programs, which are at present in compliance with statistical appearance in a more scientific and efficient way. Pokerstars are however still certified by the same commission.
Again, if you are still concerned you need to make an observation that is more than 30 minutes to really notice that the change has been made..
