Slow playing is an extremely successful and superior plan that helps to make a pot and boost the total of money that you can actually win.
Slow playing is when you check or just call an especially strong hand on one round of betting so that you are able to succeed more and probably bigger bets on last rounds of betting. You make others believe you are less strong and have them in the game for some more time.
Essentially, what you would like to do is slow play a very strong hand for the reason that you consider your opponent will fold if you bet. You offer your opponent with free card and it is not too dangerous to be doing so. That way they are going to possibly get better and they will think their hand is sufficient to call your next bet.
Many players are apt to slow play very frequently. There are quite a few circumstances where slow playing can be dangerous.
Do not slow play when:
-A free card might beat you.
-It is generally not intelligent to offer your opponent a free card while that card is able to beat you.
-There are especially few hands that are a lock on the flop.
For instance if you flop a straight, you could lose to a higher straight. If you flop a set you could lose to a straight or flush. If the pot is little and the flop is not much risky, you can occasionally risk giving a free card, but usually be cautious in providing a free card that might beat you.
